Richards, a career civil engineer, comes to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from Washington, where he was senior military assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Installations and Environment. Ruckers took part in the grueling Norwegian Foot March at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on April 6. The event brings troops and base community members together and cultivates resiliency and partnerships. About 200 individuals completed an 18.6-mile road march while carrying a 25-pound pack. Celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and this year's theme is "Advancing leaders through innovation." The 88th Air Base Wing's Special Observance Committee for AAPI will host events throughout May to pay tribute to the generations of Asian American and Pacific Islanders who have enriched the nation's history and continue to be pivotal to its success.
