Col. Dustin Richards assumed the role of 88th Air Base Wing and installation commander during a ceremony April 9 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Richards, a career civil engineer, comes to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from Washington, where he was senior military assistant in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy, Installations and Environment. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base invites military parents from around the installation and their children to have a conversation about what it's like being a "Little Hero" as part of Month of the Military Child. Ruckers took part in the grueling Norwegian Foot March at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on April 6. The event brings troops and base community members together and cultivates resiliency and partnerships. About 200 individuals completed an 18.6-mile road march while carrying a 25-pound pack.
