1/24/2011 - The 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, received its first C-17 Globemaster III Jan. 21, 2011. The aircraft is on loan from Joint Base Charleston, S.C. A maintenance field training team from Air Education and Training Command will begin training the wing's maintenance personnel on this aircraft. The 445 AW, an Air Force Reserve Command unit, is transitioning from flying and maintaining the C-5 Galaxy to the newer C-17. (U.S. Air Force photo/Michelle Gigante)
