The Road to Oshkosh: Air Force Materiel Command prepares for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024

412th Test Wing
Historic test aircraft and artifacts from the National Museum of the United States Air Force were transported from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Additionally, static displays and aircraft from the Air Force Test Center were transported from Edwards Air Force Base to EAA AirVenture. More than 200 military and civilian Airmen from the Air Force Materiel Command represented the U.S. Air Force at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture 2024 airshow, July 21-28 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, Commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, walks through the impacts of developing center reoptimization efforts. She explains that everyone contributing to AFLCMC’s mission and the Center’s industry partners are about to face a very exciting – and challenging – time. “We get to make our part of this reoptimization happen, and to make it work we all need to understand our individual roles and the overall purpose of this major change within the center” she said.
