Wright-Patterson Physicians Coordinating a New Protocol for COVID-19 Patients
Air Force doctors Maj. Evan Fisher, Chief of Nephrology, and Maj. Matthew Koroscil, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, are leading the way in coordination with the Dayton, Ohio medical community on a new drug protocol for COVID-19 patients, April 13, 2020. Students receiving training during the Aerospace Physiology Apprentice Course at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine maintain appropriate social distancing requirements April 1. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend people ensure they maintain at least six feet distance between themselves and others to avoid getting sick by sharing the COVID-19 virus. This course awards the 4M AFSC to assist in managing altitude chambers, emergency procedures, and high-altitude operations. Additional telework capabilities offer relief for teleworkers during COVID-19
Telework capabilities are expanding offering relief for Wright-Patt personnel who are currently working from home due to COVID-19. Commercial Virtual Remote environment allows users to access versions of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint online, OneDrive and Skype without Virtual Private Network connection.
