88th Air Base Wing Civil Engineer
Almost 700 men and women of the 88th Civil Engineer Directorate oversee all of the buildings and infrastructure at Wright-Patterson AIr Force Base. The Civil Engineer directs emergency management, engineering planning and fire protection services, as well as environmental management and roads, facilities, dormitory, and housing maintenance support. Base civil engineers support 846 facilities, totaling over 15 million square feet, 6.4 square miles of improved grounds, thousands of miles of utility systems with a plant replacement value in excess of $5.3 billion.
