3/1/2013 - ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) will host its annual Spring Review March 4-9, 2013. This program review, to be held at 900 North Glebe Road, in Arlington, Virginia, will be the 56th formally designated annual assessment of AFOSR's research portfolio.

As a directorate and vital component of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), AFOSR manages the basic research investment for the United States Air Force. We discover, shape and champion the science that profoundly impacts the future Air Force.

AFOSR program officers identify and fund long-range technology options at intramural, university and industry laboratories and ensure the timely transition of research results which ultimately offer significant benefit to national warfighting and peacekeeping capabilities, as well as many discoveries that benefit society at large.

This annual Spring Review gives the program officers a chance to share the great work being done with the AFOSR investments in areas such as: Dynamic System & Controls, Complex Materials & Devices, Quantum & Non-equilibrium Processes, and more. They will discuss what has been funded over the last year and provide insights, trends and plans for the future basic research programs of interest to the Air Force.

This year the public is invited to participate virtually in a streaming presentation of AFOSR's annual Spring Review (SR13). Feel free to watch the full five days or just tune in for specific topics or speakers of interest.
