Information

2/4/2013 - ROME, New York -- An AFRL nanocomputing research team has invented a one-bit random number generator using in-house developed Al/CuxO/Cu memristive devices. This invention generates a truly random binary value in which the resistance of the memristive devices serves as the analog bit values. The resistance values and the randomness by which they are generated stem from the inherently non-uniform, irreproducible variations in the materials of which the system is composed.
