WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - Dirty work is often thought of as unflattering, tedious or boring – tasks in which you may have to wear certain gear as to not soil or stain your uniform of the day. It’s often overlooked and unappreciated.

Those tasks are rarely sought after but vital to mission success.

Here at the 88th Air Base Wing, dominating the dirty work is the foundation that allows the Mighty 88th to support Air Force Materiel Command’s national and strategic missions by providing strength through support.

As Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s host unit, 88 ABW is charged with providing operational support for more than 100 associate units. In order for those units to reach mission success, a large portion of “dirty” work goes on behind the scenes. We plan to change that!

We are excited to announce the “Dominate the Dirty Work” series for 2023 with feature stories, photos, videos and graphics. It will stretch into 2024 as we offer an in-depth look at the hard work and dedication that often goes unseen.

Senior leaders will join us as we circulate the installation, put them in Airmen’s boots and give them an opportunity to “dominate the dirty work.”
