Brig. Gen. Kimbra L. Sterr is the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Missouri National Guard. She advises the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to the Missouri Air National Guard and its nearly 2,350 Airmen serving in two wings at three locations and staff personnel at Joint Force Headquarters. She is responsible to ensure the Missouri Air National Guard is organized, trained, and equipped to support Federal and State Missions. General Sterr also serves in a dual-hat role as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Force Base, Ohio. The center is responsible for the total life cycle management for aircraft, engines, munitions, electronic, computer, network, cyber and agile combat support systems
General Sterr has commanded at the flight, squadron, and group levels. She previously served as the Missouri National Guard Chief of Staff – Air, where she administered and supervised the Missouri Air National Guard State Headquarters staff ensuring support to subordinate units. General Sterr worked over 20 years in the commercial banking industry attaining the title of Vice President. She managed operations of several branches while maintaining loan portfolios including real estate, commercial, and agriculture assets.
