A plaque in the Memorial Park outside the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force honors Capt. Burt Skeel, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, June 7, 2022. Skeel was killed piloting a Curtiss R-6 Racer during the International Air Races at Wilbur Wright Field in 1924.
