Karen Beason, daughter of Phyllis Bolds, participates in the City of Dayton's Children's Water Festival, held at the University of Dayton, assisting students with an experiment that shows the importance of protecting our primary source of this area's regional drinking water supply. The festival is a one-day event for students from the 4th grade level that offers a series of continuous presentations on groundwater, surface water, conservation, land use, and other water related topics, various games, experiments, exhibits, and entertainment. More than 1,700 students, teachers, presenters, and volunteers participate in this remarkable learning experience. (Courtesy photo)
