Cool dog
Scott, an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois military working dog assigned to the 88th Security Forces Squadron at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, models new goggles, booties and a cool vest. Three of the outfits were presented July 16 by the Warren County, Ohio-based Clover Canines 4-H Club. Scott and his partner, Staff Sgt. Melissa Osterbaan will put the donated protective gear to good use during an upcoming deployment to the Arabian Gulf region. Starline Nunley, a Springfield resident (pictured in white top), is the driving force behind the initiative which since May has outfitted 46 military working dogs supporting Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
