Researchers from AFRL, the University of Florida, and Autonomous Solutions, Inc., developed this robotic package (shown attached to vehicle’s front bumper) for use aboard military convoy vehicles. The technology improves the vigilance and safety of mobile personnel, enabling designated individuals to safely divert their attention towards the surrounding area, where improvised explosive devices and other potential threats may lurk.
