Predator exceeds 500,000 flying hours
Lt. Gen. Jack Hudson, Aeronautical Systems Center commander at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and Frank Pace, executive vice president of the aircraft systems group for General Atomics Aircraft Systems, join hands during a Feb. 24 ceremony at the National Museum of the United States Air Force to commemorate more than 500,000 flying hours by the Predator unmanned aircraft system. The milestone was achieved by a Predator flying a combat mission over Iraq on Feb. 18. Suspended above them is a Hellfire-armed Predator on display in the museum's modern flight gallery. The Predator and Reaper programs are managed by the 703rd Aeronautical Systems Group at Wright-Patt. (U.S. Air Force photo/Al Bright)
