Senft, Chief Scientist, Air Mobility Command, along with core members of the aircraft maintenance team visited the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, to gain in-depth knowledge of additive manufacturing capabilities and technologies, Aug. 26. The visit included a directorate overview, discussions on additive manufacturing applications and visits to multiple research laboratories, highlighting 3-D printing capabilities for metals, polymer-based materials and functional material applications.
