The Cincinnati Reds hosted a Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Appreciation Night at Great American Ball Park Aug. 9.

Pregame ceremonies included Col. Cassie Barlow , 88 Air Base Wing commander, swearing in 35 delayed entry program members and throwing a ceremonial first pitch.
Five Airmen recently returned from deployment -- Airman 1st Class Justin Hodges, Senior Airman David Quiocho, Senior Airman Corey Franzke, Staff Sgt. Alex Roehn and Staff Sgt. Adam Howard -- were welcomed onto the field with a standing ovation.

The Wright-Patterson AFB Honor Guard presented the colors on the field, and the Wright Brass played the national anthem. Just before the game, honorary game captains, Tech. Sgt. Holly Vaught and Chief Master Sgt. John Mazza, along with Reds Manager Dusty Baker delivered the official lineup to the umpires at home plate.

The Reds went on to beat the San Diego Padres 7-2.
