Wright-Patterson welcomes F-16s Published Aug. 16, 2013 By Amy Rollins Skywrighter Staff WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- The runways of and air space over Wright-Patterson Air Force Base are playing host for the next several weeks to the Ohio Air National Guard's 180 Fighter Wing, normally based at Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, while the wing's runway is under construction. Lt. Col. Deron Reynolds, the wing's alert commander, said the F-16CM 'Fighting Falcons' pilots will stand ready to execute their homeland-defense mission, Operation Noble Eagle, while honing skills during training missions here. All jets arrived by August 16, Reynolds said.
