WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE -- The Air Force recently launched the app "My Military Communities," or MyMC2, which lists upcoming base events and services.

MyMC2 pulls information from an organization's Facebook event calendar page and displays the events on a smartphone's screen. For more information, Airmen can touch a particular event and a pop-up window appears with details about it.

The app allows participation from a variety of organizations. Those wishing to have events and directory information included in the app need to contact Public Affairs office at (937) 522-3252.

MyMC2 is available for free through the Play Store on Android devices and Apple's App Store on iOS. Once downloaded, users can open the app and select Wright-Patterson AFB as their default community.
