Air Force Full Marathon Price Increases June 2

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio --  If you are going to do the Air Force full marathon, now is the time to register. The price will increase from $95 to $105 on June 2.

"Our full marathon is about 80 percent full already," said Robert Aguiar, race director. "Usually we see a surge in registrations right before a price increase, so we're encouraging anyone interested to register now."

The Air Force Marathon 5K, 10K and half marathon sold out in record time and organizers anticipate the full will sell out by the price increase. Runners can register at www.usafmarathon.com.

Runners who register before the price increase will also be entered for the chance to win an 'In Training' shirt and a VIP Pro Package. A winner will be randomly selected from those who register by June 1. Price Package includes:

· 1 Pro Package to include: 
      -  1 Lot B Parking Pass
      -  1 Breakfast of Champions Ticket
      -  1 VIP wristband granting access to the VIP Tent on Race Day

"I strongly encourage all runners to register now if they want to get in," said Mr. Aguiar. "Once we sell out, our only available spots will be with one of our charity partners."

Less than 20 tickets are left for the Breakfast of Champions and less than 150 tickets available for the Gourmet Pasta Dinner, both featuring the Boston Marathon Director Dave McGillivray.

Runners interested in a half or full marathon spot on a charity partner team should go to the Air Force Marathon website for further details.

The Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA and Boeing, will be Saturday, September 20, 2014. The Sports & Fitness Expo is held at Wright State University's Nutter Center and will be Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 19. The event will also feature a Gourmet Pasta Dinner and Breakfast of Champions on Friday, September 19. Get more information about the race at www.usafmarathon.com.

Everyone who registers for any of the races from January 1 through June 1, 2014 will automatically be entered into the drawing. No purchase is necessary to win. Entries must be postmarked by June 1, 2014. Winners will be notified by phone or email. A complete list of winners will appear in a future newsletter sent to all runners. Winners may pick up their prizes during packet pickup at the Sports and Fitness Expo at The Nutter Center, Sept. 18-19, 2014. Prizes are valid Sept. 19-20, 2014 only. No substitutions.
