Wright-Patt celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month Published Oct. 3, 2014 By Contributed story WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Oh. -- Activities are under way at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, which is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. This year's theme is "Hispanics: A Legacy of History, a Present of Action, and a Future of Success." To commemorate the month, three events are planned. They are: › Oct. 3: Visit to El Puente Elementary School, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Point of contact is Master Sgt. Michael Sierra. › Oct. 9: Free conversational Spanish lunch-and-learn session, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Bldg. 2, Civilian Personnel Office, Room 43. POC is Tech. Sgt. Shane Monterosso. › Oct. 15: Hispanic American Leadership Forum and Cultural Awareness Food Tasting, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Prairies Chapel Annex. POC is Master Sgt. Marco Vazquez.
