Tammie Moore Air Force District of Washington Public Affairs JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- Air Force District of Washington leadership released the headquarters-level 2014 Directorate of Manpower, Personnel, and Services annual award winners to include two winners from the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. The NASIC protocol office and personnel directorate were among the winners recognized at the AFDW level for superior performance. The Protocol Office was awarded the George Washington Award for Protocol Excellence while the Directorate of Personnel won the Professional Development Program of the Year award. "Performers were recognized at the staff, operational, and installation levels," said Celisa M. Stephens, AFDW Manpower, Personnel and Services director. "(We) received 73 nominations from units around the world. Those 73 nominations competed at various levels in 12 categories. The quality of this year's packages was amazing, and the competition was close in every category." Forty-four nominees will move forward to compete at Air Force level. "All the nominees should be extremely proud of their accomplishments," Stephens said. "All nominees clearly demonstrated their commitment to excellence by providing exceptional leadership, innovation, and ingenuity to improve manpower, personnel, and support services affecting Airmen and families around the world."
