AF Band of Flight holiday concert makes successful return Published Dec. 12, 2014 By Diane Kofoed 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio. -- The Air Force Band of Flight's holiday concert made a comeback this year after being unable to take place last holiday season due to the band's deployment. On Dec. 6 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the band played for an audience that was filled to capacity. The holiday concert, entitled "The Gift of Family," featured the Air Force Band of Flight, Systems Go, Wright Brass and special guest artists, the American Military Spouses Choir. The American Military Spouses Choir was a finalist on the talent show "America's Got Talent," and each member of the choir is married to active-duty military members. The choir was able to perform with the Band of Flight thanks in part to a partnership with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Victoria Theater Association. The concert featured performances of classic holiday songs, video greetings from deployed military members to their families living in Ohio and concluded with a visit from Santa Claus. Tickets to "The Gift of Family" holiday concert were free of charge but were distributed entirely in a relatively short amount of time. The Band of Flight will perform another holiday concert at the Dayton Masonic Center Dec. 13.
