88th ABW command chief reassigned

Chief Master Sgt. Charles Hoffman, 88th Air Base Wing command chief, has been selected for reassignment as command chief, 18th Air Base Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan. The 18th Wing is the largest combat wing in the Air Force.

The chief, who entered the Air Force in 1991, assumed his current position in October 2013.

As the senior enlisted leader in the 88ABW, the chief represents more than 1,400 enlisted personnel assigned to Wright-Patterson AFB. During his tenure, the chief has implemented various programs supporting enlisted personnel, including self-government of the dorms through the Dorm Council and a re-focus on Airman's Attic.

The chief will assume his new position April 15, and his replacement will be named at a later date.
