Marathon Gate Hours Published Sept. 18, 2015 By Staff 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will host the 2015 Air Force Marathon on Saturday, Sept. 19 on the grounds of the National Museum of the United States Air Force. During the event, please be aware of the following gate and road closures: Gate 1A (Fairborn): Closed from 5:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Gate 12A (AFMC): Will be open, however only a right turn on Spruce Way will be allowed. This will provide access to the Medical Center, Commissary and Exchange. Gate 16A: Will be open until 1400 for Commercial Vehicle inspections. Gate 19B (National Road): Will be open as normal however, restricted access throughout Area B will be in effect until the last runner passes 8th St. Public Access Parking Gates (4:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. only): Spinning Rd. Gate (Located on Spinning Rd. and Airway Rd.) Armory Gate (Located on Harshman Rd.) Gate 22B (I-675 Gate, left turn only) The NMUSAF Gate will be open 4:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m., for Air Force Marathon staff, NMUSAF, staff, shuttles and DV parking. The NMUSAF will be open to the public during its normal operating hours. Please drive safely and heed posted signs and personnel giving directions.
