Retiree Appreciation Day event set for Oct. 30 Published Oct. 21, 2015 By Retiree Office Retiree Office WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The 2015 Retiree Appreciation Day is scheduled to take place at the Hope Hotel on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 a.m. The free event is organized by the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Retiree Activities Program Office, is open to all branches of the military and will include information on a variety of important topics of interest to the military retiree community, including medical, legislative and benefit matters. The event will include approximately 60 information booths, medical screenings and door prizes, as well as speakers from the Military Officers Association of America, Air Force Sergeants Association, Veterans Affairs and the Wright-Patterson AFB Medical Center. A speaker from the Defense Accounting and Finance Service will also be in attendance and will provide guidance and assistance to retirees with pay related issues.
