WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio --
Unaccompanied Airmen at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base are getting proof - in the form of a box of festive cookies - that they aren't forgotten this holiday season.
The 15th annual Airmen's Holiday Cookie Drive, held Dec. 2 at the Community and Airman Center, Bldg. 1222, Kittyhawk Center, Area A, was the scene of a flurry of activity as organizers hoped to assemble 1,500 boxes of cookies.
The drive was organized by Staff Sgt. Kristen Ketterer of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), who said Airmen, especially those young, single and living in dorms, appreciate knowing the base community cares about them and wants them to have a happy holiday season.
