The Air Force Research Laboratory officially presented its latest supercomputer acquisition in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 14, 2015, at the AFRL Department of Defense Supercomputing Resource Center located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Among the dignitaries attending was Cassio Conceicao (left), the executive vice president and chief operating officer at Silicon Graphics International, the production company for Thunder, the new supercomputer.
