Registration for the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System class for supervisors is now open.  Only those supervisors who will be supervising AcqDemo employees are required to attend this training.  Classes will start Feb. 11 and the last class will be March 31.  According to officials, the course is designed to enhance a supervisor's understanding of their roles and responsibilities with CCAS.

Additionally, employee orientation training for all employees transitioning to AcqDemo will also kick-off in February.  The 3-hour course will be conducted Feb. 8, 9 and 10 and March 1, 2, 3 and 4.

To register for either class, go to the MyETMS site at https://myetms.wpafb.af.mil/myetmsasp//logon/homepage.asp?logoff=1.

Across the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, AcqDemo, which will be implemented in June, will impact approximately 5,090 employees.  Within the 88th Air Base Wing, it will impact approximately 450 employees.

AcqDemo will cover mainly non-bargaining, supervisory and professional series employees.  Employees will no longer carry their GS designation and numbered grade. Instead, they will be placed in broadbands, or "pay bands," comparable to their current grade and salary. Any pay increases or performance awards will be based on each employee's contribution toward achieving their organization's mission.

AcqDemo is not new to the Air Force; it has been in use at Edwards Air Force Base since 1999.
