Inaugural 5k to honor fallen EOD Published April 26, 2016 By Amy Rollins Skywrighter Staff WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- The first annual Fallen EOD 5k will be held at May 7 at 9 a.m. at Eastwood Park, Mad River Shelter, 1385 Harshman Road, Dayton. The inaugural event is being held in honor of "Team Tripwire", comprised of Tech Sgt. Matthew Schwartz, Senior Airman Bryan Bell and Airman 1st Class Matthew Seidler. The explosive ordnance disposal team lost their lives on Jan. 5, 2012, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, when their vehicle was struck by an IED.
