It was the bloodiest war in Europe since World War II. Dayton Peace Accords Delegates and distinguished visitors were greeted by base officials when they arrived at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to commence negotiations during the Dayton Peace Accords in November 1995. When the treaty was officially signed in Elysee Palace, France Dec. 14, 1995, it was named the “Dayton Peace Accords” to honor Dayton and Wright-Patterson AFB’s role in the negotiations.
