Wright-Patterson AFB announces temporary gate closure for construction Published June 18, 2025 By Lisa M. Riley WRIGHT- PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Drivers who use Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's Gate 19B, located off National Road, should be aware of upcoming changes due to a construction project. Starting Monday, June 23, and continuing through Monday, September 29, access to Gate 19B will be limited. What You Need to Know: Outbound Traffic: Gate 19B will be closed to all vehicles leaving the base during the entire construction period. Morning Inbound Traffic: To help ease traffic in the mornings, Gate 19B will be open for vehicles entering the base from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Alternate Routes: Drivers exiting Area B during morning hours should use Gate 1B, located off Springfield Street. Other Access Points to Area B: Gate 22B (Access from I-675): Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Gate 22B is inbound only. Gate 1B (Access from Springfield Street): Open Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for inbound and outbound traffic.
