Here to Listen Published May 13, 2025 Inspector General WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Oh -- If you are ever in a situation where you feel you need assistance and there is no one you can turn to for help, consider the Inspector General’s (IG) office. Our office is here to listen, advise, provide options—and you decide on a course of action. We do ask the question: “How and what have you done to resolve your situation before coming to the IG for assistance?” Our intent is to recommend that if there are other established agencies or courses of action, you consider those first before filing an IG complaint. Our objective is to help promptly and efficiently resolve your concerns and issues. Most often, through conversation and consideration of various options, the client will decide on another course of action before filing an IG complaint. However, if you decide you want to file an IG complaint, our office will help you organize and articulate your complaint, advise on evidence collection and presentation, and offer guidance on remedies and resolution. We will also explain the benefits of filing either an anonymous or self-identified IG complaint. Most often, when someone visits the IG, it is after weeks or months of frustration and anxiety. Our recommendation is to consider visiting the IG sooner rather than later—if for no other reason than to have a conversation. “We are here to help.” We will listen, have a conversation, and you decide.
