Wright-Patt staff sergeant selected for nurse commissioning program Published Aug. 8, 2007 By 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs 88th Medical Group WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE -- A staff sergeant with the 88th Surgical Operations Squadron has been selected to attend the nurse enlisted commissioning program in spring 2008, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced Tuesday. Staff Sgt. Heather E. Shonk was one of 27 enlisted Airmen that an Air Force board selected to attend the program, beginning in either the fall or in spring 2008. Due to a shortfall in the number of qualified applicants, a supplemental board is scheduled for October to select 50 additional candidates for the spring 2008 start date. Airmen must advise AFPC of their intent to apply by Sept. 24, submit transcripts for an academic evaluation by Oct. 5 and submit their completed application by Oct. 15 to: AFPC/DPAMW 550 C Street West, Suite 27 Randolph AFB, TX 78150-4729 Those attending in the fall are: Tech.
