Military retirees and their families not wanting to spend Christmas Day at home in front of the oven are welcome to dine in the Pitsenbarger Dining Facility here. The holiday meal will be served Dec. 25 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Services officials said the planned menu includes shrimp cocktail, roast turkey with dressing, roast rib of beef, baked spiral sliced ham, mashed potatoes, glazed sweet potatoes, corn on cob, peas with mushrooms and onions, French style green beans with almonds, assorted holiday candies & nuts, and chicken with rice soup.

The Pitsenbarger Dining Facility is adjacent to the Wright-Patterson Base Exchange and Commissary in the Kittyhawk area of the base off of Ohio State Route 444.

During special events and holidays Air Force instructions allow commanders to authorize military retirees, surviving spouses and their families to purchase meals at military dining facilities normally reserved for active duty and
Reserve component Airmen.
