A required software upgrade to the computer system used to issue DOD identification cards will close the military personnel flight here Wednesday, April 30 through Friday, May 2. No ID cards will be issued and no inquiries or updates to Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) will be possible on these dates.

"We encourage individuals whose ID cards are about to expire to schedule an appointments on line at https://idcards.wpafb.af.mil," said Capt. Kristi Gana, Military Personnel Flight commander with the 88th Mission Support Squadron. The site can be accessed from any computer.

"If you are unable to access the scheduler, please call Customer Service (937) 257-2547, option 0 to schedule an appointment."

Gana said individuals must have two valid forms of personal identification to obtain DOD Common Access Cards, dependent and retiree ID cards. A valid DOD ID card, U.S. or foreign Passport, state issued driver's license, state issued birth certificate, and certain INS forms are among the identification documents accepted.

For more information, including a complete listing of acceptable primary and secondary personal identification documents visit the Military Personnel Flight ID Card Appointment Scheduler web page above or call customer service.
