WPAFB Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report available on-line Published June 23, 2008 By Derek Kaufman 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Base officials have released the annual Drinking Water Quality report Consumer Confidence Report. The calendar year 2007 report can be viewed on line at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=6682, also accessible from the base 88th Air Base Wing Environmental Management Division library at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/units/cev/. According to the report, which overviews base water quality during 2007, Wright-Patterson continued to meet all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Ohio EPA health standards. It contains information on the community's drinking water, including the source of the water, contaminants detected, health effects of contaminants when violations occur, and availability of source water assessments. "To comply with state and EPA regulations, Wright-Patterson issues the report annually describing the quality of your drinking water. The purpose of is to raise your understanding of drinking water and awareness of the need to protect your drinking water sources," said Kim McSparran, Bioenvironmental Engineering Drinking Water Program Manager with the 88th Medical Group here. The 2007 report was hand-delivered to base housing residences.
