WPAFB Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report available online Published June 10, 2009 WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Environmental officials have released the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Consumer Confidence Report which details water quality findings for calendar year 2008. The report contains information on the community's drinking water, including the source of the water, contaminants detected, health effects of contaminants when violations occur, and availability of source water assessments. According to the report, Wright-Patterson continued to meet all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Ohio EPA health standards. The new report is available online on Wright-Patt's public web page at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=6682. Base officials also plan to hand deliver the 2008 report to those residing in base housing beginning the week of June 15. "To comply with state and EPA regulations, we annually issue the report describing the quality of your drinking water," said Kim McSparran, Bioenvironmental Engineering's Drinking Water Program manager with the 88th Medical Group. "The purpose of this report is to raise your understanding of drinking water and awareness of the need to protect your drinking water sources."
