Gerry L. Freisthler began work as the Aeronautical Systems Center's Executive Director in early January. He will assist the ASC commander and Program Executive Officer for Aircraft Procurement and Modernization in leading the Air Force's center of excellence for development and acquisition of aeronautical systems.

A member of the Senior Executive Service, Mr. Freisthler has 28 years of federal civil service and prior to becoming the executive director for ASC, he served as the director of the Engineering Directorate here.
