ASC set to receive a few new leaders Published Jan. 29, 2010 By 88 Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Air Force officials announced Jan. 28 the selection of Col. Arthur F. Huber II as vice commander of the Aeronautical Systems Center here. Colonel Huber will succeed Col. Daryl J. Hauck. Col. Hauck will replace Brig. Gen. John F. Thompson as Program Executive Officer, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and commander, 303rd Aeronautical Systems Wing here. Brig. Gen Thompson will depart Wright-Patterson to become Program Executive Officer, Strategic Systems, at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. Col. Arnold W. Bunch Jr. will replace Col. Huber as Program Executive Officer, Fighter/Bomber, and commander of 312th AESW here. All will play vital roles in executing ASC's mission to design, develop and deliver dominant aerospace weapon systems and capabilities for USAF, other U.S. military, allied and coalition-partner warfighters. The product center - which is the largest in Air Force Materiel Command -- is responsible for the management of more than 556 Air Force, joint and international programs, executes an annual budget of $23 billion, and employs a work force of approximately 10,000 people located at Wright-Patterson AFB and 38 other locations worldwide.
