The Air Force Marathon registration fees will increase June 1, 2010.

The full and half marathon will increase by $10, with the 10K increasing by $5.

"We are encouraging runners to register early online not only to save money but to ensure that they get into their desired race," Molly Louden, Air Force Marathon director stated. "We are anticipating a sell-out event. Our numbers have tripled in comparison to last year."

The Air Force Marathon has race caps for each event: full - 3,000 participants, half - 5,000 participants, 10K and 5K - 2,000 participants.

"We are always conscious of our race caps to ensure that we can provide a successful event that is fun for all," said Louden. "Don't forget to register your family and friends as well. This is a great event that the entire family can participate in."

Louden continued, "America's Air Force has a long tradition of providing excellence in all we do. The Air Force Marathon is no different; as we continue to grow we make sure that every year we learn how to make this the best race for runners of all levels. "

The Air Force Marathon presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA and Boeing will be held September 18, 2010 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Other events include a half marathon and 10K to be held on the 18th. Wright State University and the Air Force Marathon will co-host a 5K run on September 17, 2010 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. The Sports and Fitness Expo will also be held at the Nutter Center on September 16 - 17, 2010. For more information and to register visit www.usafmarathon.com.
