Wright-Patterson to conduct quarterly exercise Published Oct. 7, 2010 WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- A quarterly exercise will be conducted here Oct. 12-15. Many base operations will continue as scheduled with minimal disruptions, but personnel should expect tightened security and plan ahead for possible delays throughout the installation. Temporary gate back-up and delays may occur. The exercise should have negligible impact on the areas surrounding the base but "Giant Voice" messages may be audible. However, people may see an increase in emergency operations on and around the base; such as emergency response vehicles with lights flashing and base speakers making announcements. All activities will be standard exercise procedures and should not cause alarm.
