Wright-Patterson-based Enterprise Sourcing Group to host Industry Outreach

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Companies large and small from across the US will have the opportunity to understand and discuss the current state of Air Force strategic sourcing. The Enterprise Sourcing Group is hosting the first Air Force Strategic Sourcing Industry Outreach May 24-25, at the Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio.

The event includes presentations by senior ESG leadership, break-out sessions with Air Force installation commodity groups, and contracting support for the AF Center for Engineering and the Environment, AF Civil Engineering Support Agency, Defense Technical Information Center, AF Medical Operations Agency/AF Medical Evaluation Support Activity.

Participating commodity councils include those responsible for sourcing products and services related to installation civil engineering, force protection, information technology, medical, office furniture, office supplies, and advisory and assistance services. The event presents an excellent capability for business development opportunities for industry.

"This is a great opportunity for companies to provide input and help us shape the future of Air Force strategic sourcing initiatives," said Col. Mario Troncoso, ESG director. "Our focus is to develop partnerships from across the U.S., and what better way to do that than through this event. It is as much an opportunity for suppliers to give us feedback on our direction and initiatives as for the Air Force to provide information."

Air Force presentations will provide information about the ESG, updates on current initiatives, and insight into future Air Force installation strategic sourcing initiatives.
