DFAS Cleveland hosts seminar for military retirees and annuitants Published July 14, 2011 CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is hosting a U.S. Military Retiree and Annuitant Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event takes place in the Performing Arts Center at Avon Lake Public High School in Avon Lake, Ohio. Attendees will hear the latest information about their military retired or annuitant pay, Survivor Benefit Plan entitlements and potential entitlements to other federal benefits. Activities will include guest speakers and one-on-one sessions with DFAS Retired and Annuitant Pay personnel to discuss pay-related questions or concerns. The following organizations will also have information tables at the event: Tri-Care, Delta Dental, Department of Veterans Affairs, Military Officers Association of America, SocialSecurity Administration and myPay.
