USAFSAM flag pole dedication Published Oct. 25, 2011 By Patrick Ruth 711 Human Performance Wing WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio -- Faculty and students from the 711th Human Performance Wing's United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) gathered on a blustery, rainy morning to dedicate the flag pole on the north side of building 840. The dedication ceremony took place during reveille on Wednesday, October 20, 2011. This is the second official flag pole within the 711th Human Perforce Wing (HPW), the other being located on Kittyhawk in front of the student pipeline dormitory. Members of the 711 HPW will perform daily reveille and retreat flag details, Monday through Friday. A flag detail consisting of six instructors representing the various departments within USAFSAM took great care in handling the flag in other than ideal conditions. Among those in attendance for the dedication ceremony were Mr. Thomas Wells, 711th Human Performance Wing director; Col. Christian Benjamin, USAFSAM commander; and CMSgt Joel Berry, the 711 HPW senior enlisted advisor.
