For a limited time, any Air Force Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K or 5K registered runner who is not able to participate in the September 15 event can transfer their entry to a non-registered runner through the Marathon's Transfer Program. A link to the transfer program is available at www.usafmarathon.com.

All registered runners have from May 30 at 12am to June 8 at 5pm to transfer their bib to an unregistered runner. Once the transferor completes the online transfer request form, he will be emailed a link with a one-time use transfer code to send to a new runner of his choice, who can then register for the sold-out Air Force Marathon events. The codes will be emailed within three business days.

Only registered participants can transfer their spots in the 16th Air Force Marathon. New runners will be required to complete the registration form and pay a transfer fee. Transfer fees are $30 for the full marathon, $25 for the half marathon, $20 for the 10K and $10 for the 5K. All new runners have from June 4 at 12am to June 15 at 5pm to transfer into the race. At 5pm on June 15, the transfer program will shut down.

"Offering a transfer program is just one more way we can provide good customer service," said Rob Aguiar, Race Director. "This enables those runners who signed up early, but for one reason or another are now unable to attend, to find another runner to take their place."

Registered runners wanting to make a transfer can find others seeking a coveted spot in the Air Force Marathon on the marathon's Facebook page. The Air Force Marathon is open to the public and is a Boston Qualifying race. For more information visit the website at www.usafmarathon.com.

The Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA and Boeing, will be held Sept. 15 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Participants start and finish at the National Air Force Museum, and spectators are welcome at the museum or in downtown Fairborn. Other events include a half marathon and 10K to be held on the 15th. The Air Force 5K hosted by Wright State University will be run on Sept. 14 at the Wright State University Nutter Center. The Sports and Fitness Expo will also be held at the Nutter Center on Sept. 13-14
