Jeff Galloway to speak at Air Force Marathon Expo

Jeff Galloway, 1972 Olympian and world-class athlete, will speak at the 2013 Air Force Marathon as the featured speaker.

Mr. Galloway broke the U.S. 10-mile record in 1973, has a six-mile best of 27:21 and has won countless marathons across the world. He also founded the popular Galloway Marathon Training Program, is an experienced race director and motivational speaker.

"We think Jeff will be a tremendous benefit to our expo this year," said Race Director Rob Aguiar, "We hope our runners will be as excited as we are."

Mr. Galloway will host a training clinic open to all runners. Cost is $99 and registration information will be available soon.

"The Air Force Marathon should be on every marathoner's 'to do list'," said Mr. Galloway, "I'm looking forward to the expo clinics, my running school and the marathon itself."

Mr. Galloway will speak at the Breakfast of Champions, held on 8 - 10 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 and the Gourmet Pasta dinner, held at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20. He also plans to run the marathon on Saturday, Sept. 21, and had a message for all runners.
"I hope to see you there and to run together."

The 2013 Air Force Marathon will be Saturday, Sept. 21, with a 5K event held at Wright State University's Nutter Center on Friday, Sept. 20. Registration for the race is open at www.usafmarathon.com. Runners who register before Feb. 28 will automatically be entered into our All Access Contest for the chance to win VIP Parking. Volunteer registration opens May 1.
