In an effort to streamline current visitor access procedures and meet new regulations requiring the screening of all unescorted visitors on Air Force installations, the Pass and Registration office here will implement new visitor access requirements starting June 1.

The new visitor access program consolidates existing visitor procedures by requiring all visitors and their sponsors to submit an online request for base access four days prior to the visit.

"We've simplified our visitor access procedures," said Lt. Col. Aeneas Gooding, 88th, Security Forces Squadron commander. "So whether there is one person visiting the base or a group of 300 people, the same process will work for all of them and be in compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense requirements."

Master Sgt. Rachel Leugers, the noncommissioned officer in charge of Pass and Registration and process lead for the new program, said that the changes will save visitors time and be more efficient.

"Our visitor access program will be much more convenient for our visitors," said Sergeant Leugers. "Similar to a fast pass, it will cut down on wait time by allowing visitors to submit their request in advance and receive a gate pass through email."

Throughout the process, visitors will receive email confirmation of their request and be notified if further information is required to complete the process.

Sponsors must be enrolled in the Defense Biometric Identification System in order for visitor requests to be successfully processed. To enroll, contact Pass and Registration at 257-6506.
