Located in Building 219 on Area A, the Resiliency Center was conceived in 2023 in response to the Department of the Air Force’s “No Wrong Door” concept, which emphasizes warm hand-offs between service providers across the continuum of care. It is a central location for several helping agencies on Wright-Patt, including the Chaplain Corps, Equal Opportunity Office, Integrated Prevention and Resilience Office, Employee Assistance Program, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program, and Victims’ Counsel. Shipton, commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and by Col. Travis Pond, deputy commander of the 88th Air Base Wing. It was followed by an open house where Airmen, civilian employees, and their families toured the newly renovated facility. Capt. Erica Wolf, the project officer for the ceremony, said the Resiliency Center renovation began in January 2023 and concluded in May 2024. The center is designed to be a central location for helping agencies on Wright-Patt, including the Chaplain Corps, Equal Opportunity Office, Integrated Prevention and Resilience Office, Employee Assistance Program, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program, and Victims’ Counsel. By having most of us in one building, we are knocking down one more barrier to getting help.” This approach is central to the Air Force’s “No Wrong Door” construct, which emphasizes warm hand-offs between service providers across the continuum of care. By making access simpler and more convenient, providers hope to encourage the use of their services. As for who is eligible, Wolf stressed that uniformed military and civilians are both welcome at the Resiliency Center. “Even if someone may not qualify for any of our services, we are still going to help them find comparable resources off-base,” said Wolf. “Anyone who calls us or walks in our door is going to get the help they need.” The newly opened Resiliency Center on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, July 15, 2024.
