WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – The Military & Family Readiness Center offers a variety of one-on-one services, as well as classes and workshops.

All programs and educational classes are designed to enhance your life, improve employability, prepare you for a solid financial future, ready your transition back into the civilian sector or simply help get you all set for that new assignment you just received.

All MFRC classes are offered through ZoomGov or in person. To register for any class or workshop, call 937-257-3592. Unless otherwise noted, all classes are in the Military & Family Readiness Center (Building 2 on Area A).

The Military & Family Readiness Center is closed the first Thursday of the month for staff training.

Wright Start

New to Wright-Patterson AFB? Learn about the many agencies on base for newly hired civilians and assigned military. The class is offered the first Tuesday every month.

Federal Resume Writing

The resume-writing course focuses on the unique and sometimes-confusing world of federal job applications and resumes. This class will provide the necessary tools to make your resume and application complete and competitive.

Heart Link

Military spouses can go through Air Force and Wright-Patterson AFB orientation. The class is offered quarterly at MFRC. To sign up, call 937-257-3592.

Private Sector Resume

Are you looking to the private sector for employment endeavors or simply preparing for the future? This workshop will give you the necessary guidance on how to prepare an effective civilian resume for your job search.

Sponsorship Training-Unit INTRO Monitor

Provide annual eSponsorship and Defense Installation Messaging System training. DIMS training allows commanders and designated representatives the ability to pull reports to monitor the effectiveness of their unit’s sponsorship program.

Personal financial counselor

Need help with financial matters? Want to understand the new Blended Retirement System? Available every day at MFRC, the Military and Family Life Counselor Program includes personal financial counseling to help you and your family manage finances, resolve problems and reach long-term goals such as getting an education, buying a home and planning for retirement. Air Force Aid Society

The Air Force Aid Society is set up to assist military members, reservists on Title 10 orders and retirees during emergency situations. The Falcon Loan and Standard Assistance programs provide an interest-free loan to help offset the emergency. Applications are accepted online at https://portal.afas.org/ea-eligibility.

Transition Assistance Program

The Transition Assistance Program has mandates and requirements for all service members. Individualized initial counseling is required 365 days prior to separation and retirement. Email wpafbtapworkflow@us.af.mil to sign up for your TAP requirements.

Veterans Affairs benefits advisers

Benefits advisers are responsible for assisting transitioning military members and veterans with VA benefits and entitlements. They provide guidance in areas such as GI Bill education benefits, disability compensation, vocational rehabilitation and employment, VA health care and the VA home loan guarantee.

The office is in the Military & Family Readiness Center, Building 2, Room 215.

Veterans Service Organizations

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has two Veterans Service Organizations: Disabled American Veterans and American Veterans. The agencies are available to help with your VA claims:
