WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio--Effective July 7, Chief Master Sgt. Lloyd Morales will assume the role of 88th Air Base Wing command chief.

Morales joins the team from the Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, where he served as 635th Supply Chain Operations Group’s senior enlisted leader.

He replaces Chief Master Sgt. Jason Shaffer, who transitions to his next assignment with the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.

“Chief Morales will fit in great and continue taking this wing forward. He has an amazing family, and I know he is motivated to get to work,” Shaffer said. “We talk often, and my focus in our transition is helping him build the relationships with our team he can use to succeed in his tenure.”

Morales brings vast experience to his new leadership role, including senior NCO leadership positions from Georgia to Kuwait in supply management.

He has directly supported operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Horne of Africa, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn and Noble Eagle.
